If you're just getting started with People by Wagepoint, or have a bulk of new employees, you can import them all at once into People by Wagepoint. Any HR Manager or Account Owner can add employees.
It's best to have information like your locations, job descriptions, and custom data fields in People by Wagepoint before beginning the import process.
Employees won't be automatically invited to the system. You'll have the chance to invite them later.
To get started, click the plus sign in the top right of your screen, and select Import Employees.
You can also click the Employees section and select Import Employees.
Next, click Let's Get Started to download the template and enter your employee data into the excel template.
A few tips:
Complete all required fields: First Name, Last Name, Personal Email, and Start Date.
All email addresses for a user must be unique. Personal Email and Work Email fields cannot contain the same email address.
Make sure all employees have an HR Manager assigned.
If you’re importing HR Managers and/or Managers who are being assigned to employees, be sure to enter their data above the employees to whom they’re assigned.
HR Managers and Managers cannot be assigned to themselves.
When your template is ready, click Upload Template to drag and drop your completed file, or browse your computer and upload your file.
What happens next:
If you have any errors in your template, and annotated template will download. Open the document to see and fix your errors, then re-upload.
