If you're selling in the European Union, staying on top of where you've met tax Nexus is essential. Kintsugi offers multiple ways to check your EU Nexus status — all designed to give you full visibility and control.
Below are the different ways you can check your Nexus exposure in EU jurisdictions:
1. Exposure Map: Get a High-Level View
Go to your Dashboard.
In the Exposure Map, select the Europe region tab.
This map will highlight all EU countries where you’ve met Nexus.
This view is ideal for quickly spotting where you may have obligations at a glance.
2. Nexus: Filter by Specific Country
Scroll down to the Nexus under the Exposure Map.
Use the country dropdown to filter by any specific EU country.
Click Apply to view detailed Nexus data for that country.
This is helpful if you're interested in just one or a few jurisdictions.
3. Nexus Page: Explore Detailed Region-Based Nexus Info
Go to the Nexus page.
Use the region selector at the top to choose Europe.
You’ll see a list of countries where you’ve met Nexus in the EU.
From here, you can also:
Filter by specific EU countries.
Click Request Registration for any jurisdiction that requires action.
4. Transactions Page: View EU-Based Transactions
Go to the Transactions page.
Set the filter by a specific country (e.g., France, Austria).
Click Apply to see all transactions tied to that country.
This method helps confirm which sales are contributing to your Nexus exposure.
5. Add Physical Presence for EU Countries
If you have physical operations in an EU country (e.g., warehouse, office):
Navigate to the Physical Presence section.
Fill in the required details for that EU country.
Click Save to record it in your Nexus profile.
Kintsugi factors in physical presence when determining Nexus.
