This page will help you dive into Kintsugi and have you up and running in no time!

To begin your Kintsugi journey, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the onboarding

  2. Approve your products so we can apply the correct sales tax rates. If you have many products, use 'Kintsugi Intelligence' to classify them automatically. You can also bulk approve all products on the page at once.

    1. To integrate with your existing system, simply click 'Connect' in the 'Data Sources' section on the left panel. If you have historical transactions in CSV files, you can easily import them using the File Upload feature.

    2. Specify the jurisdictions where you have a physical such as office, remote employees, inventory, etc.

    3. Add your organization's details so that we have all the information to get you registered and filed in jurisdictions where you meet nexus.

    4. Add your bank details that can be used to remit the sales tax for you.

  3. Ensure that you do not have any invalid addresses. You can check that in the 'Tasks' section on the dashboard.

  4. Add addresses to any transactions that are missing them. If you have many blank addresses, use 'Kintsugi Intelligence' to fill them in automatically. You can find transactions with missing addresses in the 'Tasks' section of the dashboard.

  5. Check your Nexus exposure by going to the 'Nexus' section in the left-hand panel. You can also view the exposure map on the dashboard.

  6. Manage your exemptions so that only the relevant transactions are taxed. You can do so by navigating to the 'Exemptions' section on the left-hand panel.

  7. Registrations

    1. You can click 'Register' on the Nexus page to register in the jurisdiction.

    2. You can also import your existing registrations so that we can generate filings for you.

  8. You can check your filings on the 'Filings' page. You can click 'Approve' to file and remit in the jurisdiction.


Apart from that, the' Customers' and' Transactions' tabs allow you to review the details about your customers and all the transactions.
