Our kits are setup with file paths that should auto-link when you open the 3D Scene, but if you are not seeing textures on your models, you may need to re-link the texture paths. Here are some easy ways to do that in each software:
✅In Cinema 4D:
In material view, click texture, then open texture manager, select all the missing textures, and then click edit, relink textures. Then you just need to select the folder where you saved all the textures and that should do it!
We recommend using File Texture Manager. It's a free plugin for Maya that with one button will analyze all the textures in your scene, allow you to set a new path for all of them at once, and relink in less than a minute.
Windows > General Editors > File Path Editor
Select "Top (x Resolved, x Unresolved)"
Press [Repath Files]
Enter "New Path:"
✅In 3D Studio Max
We recommend using this Colin Senner script. It's a free plugin for 3d Studio Max that with one button will analyze all the textures in your scene, allow you to set a new path for all of them at once, and relink in less than a minute. You can download it here.
In Blender, your models may appear pink if texture maps are not linked. To fix this:
Open the file menu, then choose External Data -> Find Missing Files, and select the folder where the image textures are located. File names have to be the same as they are in the blend file.
