How to Share Information with KinKeeper

KinKeeper allows users to easily share specific health information with designated individuals. Find out how to do it in this article.

Part of being in control of your information β€” especially your health information β€” is being able to share the right information with the right people at the right time.

KinKeeper makes that possible.

With KinKeeper, you can easily share specific items with the people who need them. There are two options for sharing information you have organized in the app:

1. Full Profile in-app sharing

This is the simplest option and likely the most popular way people wanted to share. Give someone else full access to everything in a profile with either Editor, Contributor (they can add but not change), or Viewer privileges. Perfect for parents caring for kids, siblings caring for an aging parent, partners sharing with one-another, pets, etc.

To share a full profile: Simply click on the link next to the image on the profile page, and then select Share Profile. From there, follow the steps to select the level of access you want to provide.

2. Custom Access Links

When someone needs temporary access (like a caregiver or home health aid) or partial access (perhaps for a babysitter, roommate or neighbor who needs only info pertaining to a topic, or simply a list of meds), you can share a Custom Access Link with anyone via text or email. The recipient can view this information without creating an account.

To share a Custom Access link: Simply click on the link next to the image on the profile page, and then select Share Custom Access Link. From there, follow the steps to elect what to share and for how long.

Someone taking care of their aging parent can use KinKeeper to share the appointment schedule with a neighbor who will sometimes give mom or dad a ride to the doctor. The neighbor doesn't need to know about the appointment or why it's necessary β€” and with KinKeeper, you can make sure they don't.

A parent of young children can share the kids' full profiles with a partner, while only sharing allergies and medication list with a babysitter.

We want you to be able to organize your health the way you organize your life, and no matter who you care for or who cares for you, KinKeeper puts you in control of your health and your information.

You've got this. And we've got you.
