It is with a heavy heart that we share that Kith + Kin will be shutting down our KinKeeper application effective May 1, 2026. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Challenges in the world of healthcare as well as the broader economic environment have made it especially difficult for mission-driven platforms like ours to sustain the resources required to serve families the way they deserve.
What makes this goodbye especially hard is you. From the beginning, Kith + Kin was built for the KinKeepers — the daughters, sons, spouses, parents, and loved ones quietly holding everything together. We are deeply grateful to each of you for trusting us, for sharing your stories, and for showing up every day for your families with care, patience, and determination.
In preparation for closing, we encourage you to export any critical information you’ve included in your KinKeeper via our export function prior to May 1, 2026. You can currently export all information except for documents or photos. The ability to bulk export documents and photos will available starting March 1st from the web version of our application only, (accessible on www.kinkeeper.app - use the login function in the upper right). We will notify you when that is ready.
Beginning this week, the app will no longer be available for download to new users, but existing users can continue to use your installed app or download it again from their history through May 1 to retrieve or export information. To protect your privacy, you may delete your account once you’ve exported what you need or we will automatically purge your information on May 1.
If you have purchased a premium subscription, please cancel your subscription through Apple after export. If you have an annual subscription paid past May 1 and desire a refund, please email me with either your mailing address for a check or your Venmo information and we will process your refund so that you do not need to attempt to collect from Apple or Google.
While our platform may be coming to a close, the role you play in your family’s health and well-being continues — and it matters more than ever. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of that journey and it saddens me that we cannot continue to be by your side.
