Have you misplaced rented gear? Had it stolen from you? the most important thing to do is to stay calm, and follow the steps below:
1. Let KitSplit know!
Send an email with the subject line “Insurance Coverage Claim” to contact@kitsplit.com including the following:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Rental details (gear owner's name, equipment rented, date, location)
- A description of the incident with as much detail as possible
2. Let the gear owner know!
Send a message to the gear owner through KitSplit Messenger informing them about the incident. Let them know that you're in contact with KitSplit about the incident and that we'll be in touch soon.
3. If possible, file a police report
After KitSplit and the gear owner has been made aware of the loss of gear, head to your local police department and file a report, if possible.
