Kiwi now offers multiple ways to place your size chart, and in many cases you no longer need to use custom injection selectors.
To avoid conflicts and confusion, Kiwi follows a placement priority order. This article explains how that priority works and which option you should use based on your setup.
Size Chart Placement Priority (Top → Bottom)
Kiwi always checks placement methods in the following order.
If a higher-priority method is active, it will override the ones below it.
1. Injection Selector (Highest Priority)
This method is used when you want the size chart injected into a specific element on the product page using a CSS selector.
When to use this
You need very precise placement
Your theme doesn’t support visual placement using app blocks
You’re working with a highly customized theme
Requirements
All of the following must be true:
App block is installed
App is enabled
Injection placement is set to anything except “Do not inject”
A valid selector is configured
Example for Horizon theme:
buy-buttons-block
If all requirements are met, Kiwi will always follow the injection selector first, overriding any block-based placement. Check out these guides on how to use this setting:

2. Custom Size Chart Placement via Theme Block (Recommended)
This is the recommended approach for most merchants. It allows you to control placement visually using the Shopify theme editor—no selector required.
⚠️ Important:
This setting is configured on the app block itself. Click the app block in the theme editor to access these options.
When to use this
You want full control without writing selectors
You prefer visual placement using Shopify’s editor
Your theme supports app blocks (most modern themes do)
Requirements
App block is installed
App is enabled
Custom size chart placement toggle is enabled
Injection selector field is empty
Injection placement is set to anything except “Do not inject”
Note: placement options (before / after / start / end) are preset by the block and will not change placement
When no selector is provided, Kiwi relies entirely on the app block’s location in the theme. Check out this guide on how to enable this feature:
How to Move the Size Chart on Your Product Page (Beginner-Friendly: App Block Method)
3. Default Size Label Placement (Lowest Effort)
This is the simplest and most automatic option.
New:
Merchants using Horizon or Dawn themes can now place the Size Chart button directly next to the Size header, with no selector or custom configuration required.
When to use this
You want quick setup
Default placement works for your store
You’re using Horizon or Dawn and want the size chart next to the size label
Requirements
App block is installed
App is enabled
Injection placement is set to anything except “Do not inject”
Placement is preset to “next to the size label”
Injection selector field is empty
If this option isn’t working, double-check that no selector is set, as selectors override default behavior.
Summary: Which option should I use?
Need exact placement? → Injection Selector
Want visual control without selectors? → Theme Block (recommended)
Using Horizon or Dawn and want it next to the Size label? → Default Placement
