This guide will walk you through how to create a filter in Knock2 Contacts to identify high-value leads, and how to use that filter in Workflows and Slack notifications.

Step 1: Create a New Filter in Contacts

  1. Go to the Contacts Tab
From your Knock2 dashboard, click on Contacts in the navigation menu.

  2. Open the Filters Menu
Click Filters in the top-left corner. If you haven’t created any yet, it will say No Filters.

  3. Create a New Filter Preset

    • Select Create a New Filter Preset from the drop-down.

    • Give your filter a descriptive name (e.g., ICP Score + Pricing Page Visitors) so you’ll remember its purpose later.

  4. Add Your First Filter – ICP Score

    • Find and select the ICP Score filter.

    • Set it to greater than 50 (or your preferred score threshold).

  5. Add Your Second Filter – Pricing Page Visits

    • Add another filter for Pages Visited.

    • Set it to is one of and select your pricing page URL.

    • If you don’t see it listed, type “pricing” into the search bar and press Enter.

  6. Save Your Preset
Click Save Preset. You can now select this filter anytime to quickly view matching leads.

Step 2: Use the Filter in a Workflow

  1. Create a New Workflow

    • Go to Workflows in the navigation menu.

    • Click New Workflow.

    • Name it descriptively (e.g., ICP >50 + Pricing Page → HubSpot).

  2. Select the Data Source

    • Choose Contacts as your source.

    • Under Filters, select the filter you created earlier.

  3. Set Workflow Timing

    • Choose Immediate so the workflow triggers as soon as a matching lead is identified.

  4. Select Your Outputs

    • From the output options, you can:

      • Add Contact to HubSpot

      • Add Contact to an Apollo sequence

      • Trigger a Webhook and much more

    • You can choose multiple outputs to run at the same time.

  5. Review & Save
Check the details, then click Submit.
You can disable or edit the workflow at any time.

Step 3: Apply the Filter to Slack Notifications

  1. Go to Slack Settings

    • Click SettingsSlack.

  2. Select the Filter for Contact Notifications

    • If Slack is already connected, you’ll see notification types.

    • For Contact Notifications, choose the filter you created (ICP Score + Pricing Page).

  3. Save Changes
    Click Save.
Now only contacts matching this filter will be sent to Slack.

Tips for Best Results

  • Be Descriptive: Always name filters and workflows clearly so they’re easy to find later.

  • Combine Multiple Filters: Layer ICP scores, page visits, and other criteria for maximum targeting.

  • Test Before Automating: Preview your filter results before setting up automated workflows.
