Slack notifications make it easy to stay on top of high-intent website visitors. This article explains how to set up Slack notifications, how to filter which leads appear in Slack, and how to enable automatic tagging so you only get notified about leads that matter to you.

Overview

Knock2 lets you send identified leads into a Slack channel of your choice. You can choose to receive notifications for:

• All leads flowing into your Contacts or Accounts pages
• Only leads that match selected filters
• Only leads assigned to you as the owner in your CRM

The new tagging feature helps you stay focused by notifying you only when a lead is personally relevant.

Step 1. Connect Slack to Knock2

You can set up Slack delivery for leads by doing the following:

  1. Go to Settings inside Knock2.

  2. Click Slack.

  3. Connect your Slack workspace.

  4. Choose the Slack channel where you want Knock2 to send leads.

  5. Apply any filters you want to use, such as company type or scoring rules.

Once this is set up, Knock2 will begin sending matching leads into your chosen channel.

Step 2. Enable Personal Slack Tagging

If you want to be tagged inside Slack whenever a lead is assigned to you, you can enable personal tagging.

  1. Go to Settings again.

  2. Click your Profile tab.

  3. Click Connect to Slack.

  4. Choose the correct Slack workspace.

  5. Complete the authorization steps.

How Tagging Works

Once connected, Knock2 will tag you in Slack whenever a relevant lead is identified. This happens under the following conditions:

• Your email in Knock2 matches your email in Slack.
• You are listed as the Account Owner, Opportunity Owner, Deal Owner, or Company Owner inside your CRM.
• Knock2 identifies a contact or account associated with you.

Example

If you own the account for Knock2 inside your CRM and someone from Knock2 visits your website, you will receive a Slack notification. You will also be tagged directly so you know the lead requires your attention.

Why Tagging Helps

Tagging gives you a signal that a lead is yours to handle. This allows you to:

• Pay attention only when it matters.
• Prioritize leads more quickly.
• Avoid noise from other teams or other owners.

If you are not tagged, the lead belongs to another owner or does not require action from you.

Requirements

To ensure tagging works correctly:

• Your Knock2 email and Slack email must match.
• You must be listed as the owner in your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
• A Slack channel must already be connected in the Slack settings page.

Once everything is connected, no further setup is needed. Knock2 will tag you automatically whenever a lead assigned to you is identified.
