Navigating Settings in Knock2

Written by John DiLoreto

Settings in Knock2 is where you manage your personal profile, company setup, teammates, Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications, webhooks, website agent, usage, and system resources.

This article walks through each section of the Settings panel and what it controls.

How to Access Settings

  1. Click the Settings (gear) icon in the bottom-left corner of the main navigation

  2. The Settings panel will open with multiple configuration sections

Profile Settings

Your Profile controls your personal user configuration, including:

  • Contact details

  • Time zone

  • Connected Slack account

Slack Personalization

When your Slack account is connected:

  • You will be automatically tagged in Slack when you are the:

    • Account owner

    • Deal owner

    • Company owner

    • Opportunity owner (depending on your CRM)

Account Settings

The Account section controls your company-level configuration, including:

  • Company name

  • Company category

  • Company description

Teammate Management

This is also where you manage your team:

  • Add new teammates

  • Edit existing teammates

  • Resend invites

  • Manage permissions

Script

The Script section provides your unique Knock2 JavaScript snippet.

This script is used to install Knock2 on your website. You can copy and share this script directly with your developer or marketing team.

App Marketplace

Connecting Knock2 to your external tools lives in the App Marketplace (under Settings → Integrations). From the App Marketplace you can connect:

  • HubSpot, Salesforce, and Attio

  • Sales engagement platforms like Apollo, Outreach, and Lemlist

  • Ad platforms and ChiliPiper

  • Slack and Microsoft Teams channels (under Notifications)

Slack and Microsoft Teams Settings

The Slack and Microsoft Teams sections under Notifications list the channels connected to your workspace. You can reach the same channels from their cards in the App Marketplace.

Open a channel to:

  • Choose its standard notifications: New contacts identified and New accounts identified, which are what Knock2 sends to that channel on its own

  • Filter each of those with a saved view from your Contacts or Accounts page, or (on Slack) with custom conditions that belong to that channel alone

  • See the Plays posting to this channel, which use their own filters and are not affected by those switches

  • Customize the message format and action buttons (Slack)

On a Slack channel's page these are organized into four tabs: Notifications, Plays, Message format and Actions. Every change saves as you make it. The switch in the top right pauses or resumes the whole channel.

Each user can connect their own channel with their own preferences.

Slack and Teams can also be used as a destination inside a play, which lets you route different lead types to different channels. See Using Slack as a Play Output.

Alert Logic

  • Contact alerts fire when exact people are identified

  • Account alerts only fire when no exact contact match exists

This prevents duplicate alerts while still capturing full coverage.

Webhooks

The Webhooks section allows you to:

  • Create webhooks

  • Edit webhook destinations

Webhooks allow you to route Knock2 data into custom systems or automation tools.

Website Agent

The Website Agent is Knock2’s AI-powered website chat application.

From this section, you can manage:

  • Agent behavior

  • Response logic

  • AI chat configuration

Knowledge Base for Website Agent

The Knowledge Base powers your Website Agent’s responses.

Here you can store:

  • FAQs about your business

  • Core product and service details

  • Important documents

  • Key website content

This allows the AI agent to respond accurately to visitor questions.

Usage

The Usage section shows your:

  • Monthly credit consumption

  • Account identification volume

  • Contact identification volume

  • Top-up usage if applicable

This helps you track usage in real time across your billing cycle.

Resources

The Resources section provides quick access to:

  • Knock2 Help Center

  • Terms and Conditions
