Your Lead Score in Knock2 tells the platform which companies and buyers are the best fit for your business. This powers scoring, filters, Slack alerts, and plays.
This guide shows you where to set it up and how to update it.
Where to Edit Your Lead Score
You can access your Lead Score settings from either location:
Contacts tab → click the three dots (•••) → select Lead Score
Accounts tab → click the three dots (•••) → select Lead Score
Both locations open the same Lead Score editor.
The Fastest Way: Suggest with AI
If your Lead Score is empty, the quickest way to fill it in is to let Knock2 draft it for you.
Open the Lead Score editor. On an empty form you will see a Suggest with AI ✨ button.
Click it. Knock2 reads your website and drafts both Target Companies and Target Buyers.
Review what it wrote, edit anything that is not quite right, and click Save.
Nothing is saved until you click Save, so you can always adjust the wording first.
If you already have text in these fields, Suggest with AI is available as a link above them. It will ask you to confirm before replacing what you have written.
If Knock2 cannot read your site (some sites block automated visits), you will see a message saying so — just fill the fields in manually using the guidance below.
What You Will Fill In
You will see two main fields. Both of them describe the customers you want to win, not your own company.
This is the most common mistake we see. If you describe your own business in these fields, Knock2 will give high scores to companies that look like you, and the companies that would actually buy from you will score low.
1. Target Companies
Write a sentence describing the types of companies you want to sell to.
✅ Example:
“North American SaaS companies with 20–200 employees and strong inbound traffic.”
❌ Not this:
“We’re an HR consulting firm offering fractional HR services.”
If you run an HR consultancy that sells to restaurant groups, this field should describe restaurant groups.
2. Target Buyers
Write a sentence describing the roles at those companies that usually buy your product.
Example:
“Sales, Marketing, RevOps, or Growth leaders.”
Knock2 reads this text and turns it into scoring rules automatically.
