Knock2 webhooks allow you to receive real-time contact and account data as it becomes available in your workspace. Webhooks are commonly used to power custom workflows, internal tooling, enrichment pipelines, or downstream automations outside of Knock2.

This article provides a high-level overview of how contact webhooks work and the structure of the payloads you can expect to receive.

For full configuration, testing, and field-level visibility, see the Webhooks section inside the Knock2 dashboard.

When contact webhooks are triggered

Contact webhooks are sent when Knock2 identifies or updates a contact that matches your configured criteria. Webhook delivery is near real-time. Events are sent shortly after processing is completed inside Knock2.

Webhook delivery behavior

  • Payloads are delivered as JSON via HTTPS POST

  • Each webhook event contains a full snapshot of the contact at the time of delivery

  • Retries may occur if a webhook endpoint returns a non-success response

  • Payloads are additive over time as more data becomes available

Key sections explained

Contact information

Includes name, title, seniority, department, emails, phone numbers, and LinkedIn profile when available. Some fields may be null depending on data availability.

Company information

Includes firmographic, industry, size, revenue range, location, tags, and detected technology stack associated with the contact’s company.

Website activity

Provides the most recent visit details, page-level visit history, and total browsing time associated with the contact.

CRM context (optional)

If a CRM integration is enabled, the payload may include deal and ownership data such as deal stage, value, close date, and assigned owners.

ICP scoring

Includes the ICP definition used, the resulting score, and the reasoning behind the score at the time the webhook was sent.

Important notes

  • Not all fields are guaranteed to be present on every event

  • Payloads represent the best available data at time of delivery

  • Additional fields may appear over time as enrichment improves

  • Full webhook configuration and testing tools live inside the Knock2 dashboard
