What is Find Buying Committee?

How Knock2's Buyer Committee Discovery feature works, and how to use it to automatically find the most relevant contacts within an identified account.

When you see a promising account visit your site, the challenge is often figuring out who inside that company to reach out to. Find Buying Committee solves this automatically — Knock2 discovers the most relevant contacts within an identified account based on your Buying Committee settings.

What It Does

Find Buying Committee looks at an identified account and automatically surfaces the people within that company who are most likely to be involved in a purchase decision — based on the roles and priorities you've defined.

For example, if a great-fit company visits your site but only the account is identified (no named contact), Knock2 can automatically find the VP of Sales, Head of Marketing, or RevOps leader at that company and add them to your pipeline.

Instead of working one contact at a time, you're reaching the full decision-making group.

How to Use It

There are two ways to trigger Buyer Committee Discovery:

1. Manually from the Dashboard

Click into any contact or account record in your Knock2 dashboard and select Find Buying Committee from the Actions column. Knock2 will immediately search for and surface the most relevant contacts at that company.

2. Automatically via Workflows

You can automate Buyer Committee Discovery so it runs on every new identification that meets your criteria. For example:

  • Every time an account with a Lead Score ≥ 70 is identified, automatically find the buying committee

  • Automatically enroll the discovered contacts into an email sequence or push them to your CRM

This is how more advanced Knock2 users build fully automated outbound pipelines — a company visits, the committee is found, and the right people are enrolled in a sequence, all without manual intervention.

How Knock2 Decides Who to Find

The contacts Knock2 surfaces are driven by your Buying Committee settings, where you define the roles you care about and rank them in order of priority. Knock2 uses this ranked list to find and return the most relevant people at each account.

For example, you might rank your preferences as:

  1. VP of Sales

  2. Head of Marketing

  3. RevOps or Revenue Operations

Knock2 will prioritize finding contacts that match your top-ranked roles first.

You can configure and reorder your Buying Committee preferences in Settings → Buying Committee.

Credits

Buyer Committee Discovery uses credits. Each contact discovered and added to your pipeline consumes credits from your monthly allotment. You can monitor your usage in Settings → Usage.
