The Meta Ads integration connects Knock2 to your Facebook and Instagram advertising account. Instead of sending contacts into outreach, it syncs the people Knock2 identifies into Meta Custom Audiences β so you can retarget high-intent website visitors with ads (or build lookalike audiences from them).
Contacts are securely hashed before they're sent to Meta, in line with Meta's Custom Audience requirements β Knock2 never sends raw personal data to Meta.
What you'll need
A Meta (Facebook) Business account with an ad account
Admin access on that ad account
Admin access in Knock2 to connect a workspace integration
Step 1: Connect Meta Ads in Knock2
In the Knock2 dashboard, open the App Marketplace.
Find Meta Ads in the Ad Platforms category and click Connect.
You'll be redirected to Meta to authorize Knock2. Approve the permissions and select the ad account you want to use.
You'll return to the App Marketplace with Meta Ads connected.
If the connection ever needs to be refreshed, Knock2 will prompt you to re-authorize.
Step 2: Sync an audience with a Workflow
Go to Workflows and create or edit a workflow.
Choose Contacts as the source and set your filters (for example, target industry or lead score).
For the output, select Meta Ads, then choose an existing Custom Audience or create a new one.
Save and activate. Matching contacts are hashed and added to your Meta Custom Audience automatically.
Good to know
Data is hashed. Email, phone, name, and location are hashed before being sent to Meta.
Audience size takes time. Meta updates match counts asynchronously β it can take 24β72 hours for your audience size to appear after the first contacts are added.
Audiences created this way are standard customer-list Custom Audiences you can use for targeting or to seed lookalike audiences.
