We work hard to give you accurate, complete contact and account data — but no data source is perfect. When you spot something that looks wrong, you can report it in a couple of clicks, and we'll use that feedback to correct the record and improve the data you see going forward.
This article explains when and how to report an issue.
When should I report an issue?
Report a contact or account whenever the data doesn't look right, for example:
A field is wrong — the company, email, phone number, job title, name, LinkedIn, or location doesn't match the real person.
The record is incomplete — it's missing key details you'd need to act on it (like an email or title).
It's not a real contact — the record isn't a valid person you'd want to engage.
Your feedback goes straight into our data quality process, so every report helps clean up your view.
How to report an issue
Open the contact (or account) you want to report.
Click the ⚠️ Report an issue button.
Choose the type of issue you're reporting. You'll only see the follow-up questions for the option you pick — and you can use Back at any time to switch your choice.
Fill in the details and click Submit.
That's it. You'll get a quick confirmation once your report is received.
The two types of issues
When you open the reporter, you'll choose one of two options.
1. "Some details are incorrect"
Choose this when the contact is a real person but one or more fields are wrong.
Which fields are incorrect? Check every field that's off: Company, Email, Phone, Title, Name, LinkedIn, or Location. You can select more than one.
Correct LinkedIn URL (optional). If you know the person's correct LinkedIn profile, paste it here. This is the single most helpful thing you can give us, because it lets us re-check and correct the record faster.
Note (optional). Add any extra context that would help us get it right.
After you submit, we flag the fields you selected and work to correct them. The record stays in your dashboard.
2. "Incomplete or not a valid contact"
Choose this when the record is missing the details you need, or isn't a valid contact at all.
Reason — pick the closest match:
Incomplete — missing key details like email, title, or company.
Other — not a valid contact for a different reason.
Reason note (required). Tell us briefly what's wrong. A short, specific note helps us act on it.
After you submit, this record is removed from your dashboard and won't enter any of your automations. If you remove something by mistake, you can undo it right after submitting.
Tips for the most helpful reports
Be specific about which fields are wrong. Flagging just the email (rather than the whole contact) helps us fix exactly what's off.
Add a LinkedIn URL when you have one. It's the fastest path to a corrected record.
Use "Incomplete or not a valid contact" to clean up your view. It's the right choice when a record isn't worth keeping, since it also keeps that contact out of your automations.
Thanks for reporting issues — it directly improves the quality of the data for your whole team.
