Activating Your Account & Contact Data

How to put your identified accounts and contacts to work by sending them to your CRM, sequences, ads, and other tools.

Written by Sara

Identifying who's on your website is only the first step. Activation means putting that data to work — automatically sending your identified accounts and contacts to the tools where your team takes action, like your CRM, sequencer, ad platforms, or Slack.

Account-level vs. contact-level data

Knock2 identifies visitors at two levels, and you can activate both:

  • Contact-level — a specific person is identified. You can push that named contact into a CRM, enroll them in a sequence, or notify your team.

  • Account-level — the company is identified but no specific person is. You can activate the account itself, and/or use Find Buying Committee to surface the right people at that company and activate them as contacts.

Ways to activate

  1. Manually — open any contact or account record and use the Actions to push it to a destination or find its buying committee.

  2. With Plays — set rules so matching identifications are automatically sent to a destination.

Where you can activate to

Knock2 supports a wide range of destinations, including:

  • CRMs — HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio

  • Sequencers — Apollo, Outreach, Lemlist, Instantly, HeyReach, Amplemarket, Smartlead, Unify

  • Ad audiences — Meta (and LinkedIn, coming soon)

  • Notifications — Slack, Microsoft Teams, email

  • Webhooks — send data anywhere, including tools like Clay, Zapier, and Make

Before a record is activated, Knock2 automatically enriches it so your destinations receive complete, ready-to-use data.
