How to create a new CSV templates for downloading your transactions

Updated this week

Smart CSV Templates allow you to decide how your exported data appears in the CSV file. You can reorder, rename, and select which columns to include, making your exports consistent with your ERP or preferred report layout.

Where to find templates
Go to Accounting Settings → CSV Templates.

Types of templates

  • Pemo Universal Template: Default, ready-to-use template (not editable).

  • Custom Templates: Create and save unlimited templates for different needs — for example, separate ones for audits, ERP imports, or monthly reporting.

Creating a New CSV Template

Follow these steps to build a new Smart CSV Template:

  1. Go to Accounting Settings → CSV Templates.

  2. Click Create Template.

  3. Enter a name for your template.

  4. Choose how to start:

    • From scratch (blank template), or

    • From an existing template (e.g., Pemo Universal).

  5. Set your preferences:

    • Choose your preferred date format (e.g., dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy).

    • Toggle whether to include a header row.

  6. Map your columns:

    • Select from all available Pemo fields (amount, VAT, vendor, exchange rate, etc.).

    • Rename, add, or remove columns as needed.

    • Drag and drop to adjust the column order.

  7. Click Save Template when finished.

Tip: You can create multiple templates for different uses — such as one for your ERP upload and another for internal reporting.

Benefits of Smart CSV Templates

  • Customizable: Choose exactly which fields and order appear in your CSV.

  • Reusable: Save time by using the same format every month.

  • Flexible: Adjust templates for different reporting or accounting systems.

  • Universal: Works for all users — even without an accounting connection.
