Competitive Insights are available to help you visualize your hotel level performance data against other competitors in your market. With this data we are able to provide you with valuable insights across a set of key metrics to help you understand how your hotels are performing at any given time within the context of your market.
How Does It Work?
Competitive insights allows you to compare performance against your market, giving you insights and a directional indication of actions that you can take to optimize performance for a given property.
Within the tool you will see CPC, ROAS, Share of Voice, and average daily spend metrics for the selected hotel, along with the average performance in the competitive set. The competitive set may vary given the nature of your market.
How to access
To view your competitive insights, select “Campaigns” on the toolbar on the left side of your screen. This will reveal a few other options for you to view campaign performance. Select “Hotels” from the additional options.
Above your list of properties you will see “Show Competitive Insights”. Select this dropdown to reveal the data.
Once in the tool you can use the hotel drop down menu to toggle between the different hotels that you manage.
You can look at competitive insights across different time frames by updating the time frame selector in the top left side of the page. This will update both your hotels performance as well as the competitive leader data.
Best Practices
Comparing a hotel to its competitors is not an exact science. This view should be used for directional purposes to help you identify opportunities to increase bid or budget for their campaigns. A hotel showing as “Not Competitive” does not necessarily mean that the hotel is not performing well.
