Competitive Insights help you understand how your performance stacks up against competitors—at both the market and advertiser levels. With updated visualizations and a streamlined layout, it’s now easier than ever to uncover opportunities, take action, and drive results.

Overview

Competitive Insights is designed to deliver clear, actionable data at both the market and advertiser level:

Market-Level View: Understand your performance in specific locations—like New York, Paris, or Tokyo—and see where you’re leading or falling behind.

Advertiser-Level View: Get a high-level snapshot of your overall performance across all markets, with clear indicators of what’s working, what’s not, and where to focus your attention.

Intuitive visualizations make it easy to identify trends, benchmark performance, and uncover opportunities without getting lost in the data.

Key Metrics

Competitive Insights provides four essential performance metrics:

  • CPC – Your average cost per click

  • ROAS – Your return on ad spend

  • Share of Shelf – The percentage of impressions your ads receive in a given market

    • Share of Shelf = Your Impressions / Total Market Impressions

  • Average Daily Spend – Your average spend per day

Each metric is displayed alongside competitive benchmarks, helping you evaluate your standing within the market.

Best Practices

  • Use Competitive Insights as a directional tool to guide your strategy—especially when considering changes to bids or budgets.

  • A lower Share of Shelf or ROAS doesn’t always mean poor performance—it may highlight an opportunity to improve visibility or reallocate spend.

  • Consider multiple metrics together for a more complete understanding of your competitive position.
