💰 What is a settlement?

A settlement is the amount we transfer to your account after we’ve processed your sales, applied any fees or adjustments (like refunds, chargebacks, and subscriptions), and handled any outstanding debits.

You’ll see a line for each settlement date showing exactly what contributed to the final amount paid out — or why nothing was paid if that’s the case.

🔍 Can I see what makes up each amount?

Yes — just click on any row in the Settlements table to open the Settlement Details. You’ll get a full breakdown of:

  • Each type of debit or charge

  • The transactions included in your sales

  • The time range the settlement covers

  • Any carried-over balance from a previous day

You also can view the details of each day’s settlement by opening the PDF attachment in your daily settlement email, or by downloading it from the Kody Universe.

🔄 What affects my settlement amount?

Several factors go into your final payout:

  • Sales: The total sales you’ve made that day.

  • Refunds: Any customer refunds will be deducted.

  • Debits: This includes things like chargebacks, fees, or subscription charges.

  • Credits: If you’ve received any credits (e.g. rebate), they’ll appear here.

  • Outstanding debits: If you owe more than you’ve earned, that amount is carried forward to your next settlement.

⚠️ What happens if I don’t have enough to cover my debits?

If your total sales minus refunds and debits is less than £0, your settlement amount will be shown as £0.00 and no funds will be paid out on that day. The unpaid balance will be listed under Outstanding Debits, and we’ll carry that over to your next settlement.

You’ll also see a clear message explaining this directly in the Settlement Details panel.

✅ When do I get paid?

Once all required debits are covered, we’ll automatically process your payout. This happens immediately — no need to take action. If you had a carried-over amount from a previous day, it’ll be added to your next successful settlement.
