Pre-step

Before you begin configuring, you must both ensure you have the "Roster sync" feature enabled in Toddle and that you have been provided an "Access token" by Toddle. You can request both the feature to be enabled and ask for an "Access token" via the Toddle support. Reach out to Toddle via support@toddleapp.com or using the in-app chat feature inside Toddle. Once enabled you will see a Roster sync option available under "Integrations" on the left side navigation bar after navigating to "School setup".

Integration

Kognity’s integration engineers will send you an integration link similar to this one: https://ed.link/integrate/abc456789-efg456-123456 (please note that this is just an example and doesn't have any value).

The link will direct you to create an Edlink account. Note: if you've connected an app to Edlink before, please log in with that account.

Welcome page in Edlink stating that Kognity would like to integrate with your school and a Get Started button.

1.- Click "Get Started", then enter your email address, create a password, accept the terms of service, and enter the name of your district or school.

2.- Choose "Toddle" as your Data Source and click continue.

3.- Choose the region to store your data.

United States selected as data storage, with Canada, Germany and Australia as other options.

4.- Select the region of your Toddle instance. If you do not know the region, select the one closest to your location.

5.- Enter your "Client ID", "Client Secret" and "Access token".

The Client ID & Client Secret can be found under "Kognity credentials" within the "Roster sync" option in Toddle. You find it under "School setup" and "Integrations". The "Access token" is provided by the Toddle team.

This is where you can find the Client ID & Client secret inside Toddle. If you do not see the "Roster sync" menu item under "Integrations" you need to get the Toddle team to activate the feature for you.

6.- Click "Validate Configuration" to confirm the integration has been configured correctly.

7.- Once you've validated your integration, click "Continue Setup".

You'll see this final screen:

8.- Make a copy of our Content Mapping Template, fill it out with the classes and subjects you'd like to connect with Kognity, and send it to your Kognity Account Manager and cc support@kognity.com

Now you can relax and wait for us to set up your school or district on Kognity!

The Kognity and Toddle integration via Edlink ensures that any changes in your data throughout the year are automatically reflected in our platform, so you never have to worry about updating rosters.

Please note: Attempting to make any manual changes during an integration can result in errors. For example, If your school has active subscriptions and they suddenly expire, it’s likely because the classes mapped to Kognity were moved, updated, or changed on your school's end. In such cases, you’ll need to re-share the classes with us or undo any changes made.
