When you receive a question assignment you will first receive an email notification. Make sure to enable push notifications for your email so you can instantly see when you receive an assignment.

You can then log in to Kognity, you will be able to see your question assignments on the right-hand side under the Assignment heading - your assignments are listed in the order of how much time is left until the deadline - the shortest time at the top!

You will find all the important information regarding the outstanding assignment on the platform. You can see:

  • the type of assignment

  • the subject

When you are ready to start the assignment you can click 'Take assignment now' and you will see how many questions the assignment contains. These questions can be either multiple-choice or short-text entry.

If your teacher enabled the option to receive continuous feedback while answering the assignment, you will see the answer to each question right after you click the "Submit answer" button.

Although you will be able to see the correct answer, you won't be able to re-submit your answer. The purpose of displaying the correct answers is to correct misconceptions and improve students' understanding and motivation before moving on to the next question.

If your session is interrupted or your computer crashes, the system automatically saves all the work you've done so far. You can then continue the session where you left off, meaning you don't have to finish an assignment in one session. However, be sure to finish before the due date, otherwise, it will be marked as "not started" or "incomplete".

After you have submitted the assignment you won't be able to modify your answers. However, you will see the results and feedback, just like your teacher.

All assignments will be saved, and you can access them even after the due date. Here you can find out how to access past assignments
