Yes, you can change the deadline for Active assignments.

However, as soon as the deadline has passed you would need to copy the assignment and resend it - you can find the step-by-step guide here.

Occasionally, circumstances may require you to adjust deadlines for active assignments. Fortunately, with Kognity, the process is straightforward. Follow these steps to seamlessly update deadlines, and remember, you can also make other modifications to enhance the assignment.

Step 1: Go to the 'Assignments' tab and locate the specific assignment you wish to modify under 'Active assignments.' Click on the desired assignment to access its details.

Question vs. Book assignment

Question assignments

Step 2: If you wish to edit a question assignment, you will find an "Edit assignment" button below the assignment title.

Step 3: Update the deadline as needed. Additionally, you have the flexibility to modify the assignment name, instructions, or include a message. Don't forget to click 'Save assignment' to ensure your modifications take effect.

⚠️ Note: Modifying the assignment deadline will not trigger an email notification to students.

Book assignments

Step 2: If you wish to edit a book assignment, you will find the edit button in the top right corner (the pencil).

Step 3:

a) Editing options - All book assignments: The “edit assignment” button in the top right of the book assignment header allows you to edit details or end the assignment without leaving the page.

b) Editing options - Scheduled book assignments: For “Scheduled” book assignments, you can change the date from the top banner, and you can edit the recipients using the button below the student progress bars.
