Here’s some great ideas from some of our more experienced teachers on how to use Kognity in different ways to keep students engaged, motivated and on target.

1. Zoom!

All Kognity books have activities, discussion topics, videos, and applets you can use in your classes. Copy them into your slides, or just share your screen with the Kognity book open. Here are some ideas:

IBDP Sciences

Do a "remote" practical that doesn't require lab equipment through Kognity's lab support, such as "Investigating the acceleration of free fall" in Physics (Section P.1.1):

IBDP Economics

Use our Geogebra applets to show the impact of moving variables (i.e. price) like in Section 1.5.8:

 2. Battle!

Strengthen the community feeling of your classroom with some friendly competition! Create a bracket and have your students battle each other on Kognity until you have a champion!

3. Flip!

Teachers can send students assignments before the lesson, so students come prepared.  In class, teachers can then focus their time with students reviewing the challenging parts instead of going over all the material.

4. Target!

In Kognity, you can send assignments to selected students based on their level of understanding. You can differentiate which assignments you set, to ensure that you are providing suitable stretch and challenge for all your students.

5. Supercharge!

Supercharge student progress by scheduling a video call with students to provide targeted feedback.
