Congratulations! Your students have completed the IGCSE program and are now ready to begin their IBDP journey.

How can you reflect this on your Kognity account?

When your students progress from the IGCSE to IBDP program, their account must also change to display the right programme, as students cannot have both subscription types. Changing their subscription requires following a few steps:

First, enter the 'Manage school' section and click on the three dots in the “year group” tab to rename the current year group to IBDP from IGCSE.

Once you’ve renewed your IBDP subscription, assign that type to the year group in the year group tab.

On the “manage students” tab, delete any students who are either no longer at your school or who will not be doing the IBDP program. This allows you to maintain your student numbers for your license.

On the “manage classes” tab, make sure that the IGCSE classes where your new IBDP students graduated are no longer active. You can do this by changing the end date.

Add the new IBDP classes, either individually, bulk upload or from Managebac, and assign your new students to their classes.

Finally, check your billing tab to ensure that the expected student numbers match your license assignment. Now your students are ready to start their IBDP journeys!

It is important to follow these steps so your students won’t have any issues accessing their new classes. If you have any questions while changing your students’ programs from IGCSE to IBDP, you can contact your account manager or email support@kognity.com.
