Once you imported all your crypto activity to Koinly, reviewed your transaction history and fixed any discrepancies, it's time to download your tax reports 🎉
ℹ️ You can only generate tax reports on a paid plan
You'll need to purchase a plan for the year you want to generate a tax report. For details, see How pricing works in Koinly
Generating a new report
Go to the Tax Reports page in your Koinly account
Select the tax year you want to generate reports for by clicking on the dropdown arrow next to the tax year:
The last finished tax year is selected by default
Scroll down and select the report you want to download from the "Pick a report type" dropdown:

On a paid plan, you can download as many reports as you want - download each available report if you're unsure which report your accountant needs
Once selected, click the "Download report" button to generate it
The download should start automatically in a few seconds. For larger reports (with thousands of transactions) you'll receive an email with a download link instead once it's ready
Previously generated reports
You can view and re-download all the reports you previously generated (we keep a copy of your reports on our servers for about a year):
Old reports are available from the same Tax Reports page
Click "Show previous reports" right under the "Download reports" button:
In the popup that follows, you'll see a list of all reports you generated, showing:
the type of the report
the period it covers
when it was generated and
a link to download the report:
Click the "Download" button next to the report you want to download again

If you're trying to download a report generated in the past (via "Show previous reports") and you're shown a page with some XML error like this, saying "The specified key does not exist":
It means that this report has been deleted from our servers and can no longer be re-downloaded. Koinly periodically deletes old reports from our servers as part of our security policy.
You can still generate the report again - if you didn't make any changes to your transaction history, the report will show the exact same data as the old one.
I click "Download report" button but nothing happens

Some browsers may block "direct file download requests".
If this happens, you can still download the report you generated from "Show previous reports" - the download was blocked by your browser, but the report was generated.

Your email client may have misread the download URL and broke it in half. Try copying the whole link and pasting it in a new browser tab.

The download link for the generated report will always be sent to the owner of the account (the email you signed up with) - it's not possible to change it other than changing the email associated with your Koinly account.
