All banks in Germany are legally required under OECD guidelines to collect the personal tax identification number for every account.
This applies to all accounts opened since 2016.
Which ID is required?
To open an account with Kontist by Shine, we require your 11-digit personal tax identification number (not your VAT number and not your tax number used for VAT returns).
How do I enter my Tax ID?
You can enter your Tax ID in the mobile app by following these steps:
Go to Settings
Tap on Personal Information
Select Tax ID
