Why was my overdraft request rejected?

There could be several reasons why your application for an overdraft was rejected.

The most important requirement is a positive SCHUFA score. Most banks do a SCHUFA or credit check with the account opening. When opening an account with Kontist, we don’t need a SCHUFA check but we do need one for an overdraft.

It also depends on how long you’re our customer. It’s beneficial if you have a Kontist account for a while and/or you’re using it as your main account.

Proofing and calculation of your overdraft happen automatically. We cannot change or influence the result.

You can apply for an overdraft again after three months.
