This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.

We take safeguarding seriously at Koru Kids, and we need all applicants to upload a valid ID document during the onboarding process. Don't worry if you're not sure which ID document to upload - we're here to help:

ID documents which we accept:

Please note, as well as the below, we would also need a photo of you holding your passport.

  1. Check out the ID document upload form for guidance on what to upload and the required photo format. (Please note: you need to be logged into your Koru Kids account to access the link.)

  2. If you're from the UK or Ireland, you can upload:

    • Your UK or Irish passport, OR

    • Your UK or Irish Birth/Adoption Certificate + proof of your National Insurance number.

      • The proof can be any letter with any date that has your National Insurance number on it. Typically, this is a letter from HMRC, a P45 or P60, or from a former employer.

  3. If you're from the EU/EEA and have pre-settled or settled status, we can check your Right to Work share code online. You'll also need to provide one of the following identity documents:

    • Your current valid EU/EEA passport, OR

    • Your current valid EU driving licence.

  4. If you don't have pre-settled or settled status or are from outside the UK/EU/EEA, we can still check your Right to Work share code online. You'll also need to provide one of the following identity documents:

    • Your current valid passport OR

    • Your current valid driving licence.

Once you have uploaded your ID documents, you can see how the application process works here to find out what's next.
