This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.

Most families are looking for a nanny to help with after-school care for around 9 hours per week (typically 3pm - 6pm, 3 afternoons a week), but some work up to 15 hours (typically 3pm - 6pm, Monday-Friday afternoons) depending on their availability.

Childcare needs are many and varied so there's still a chance you may find a role during weekends, evenings or even just in the school holidays, but there are no guarantees and it may take a little longer to find your perfect match.

We'd be looking for you to be able to offer at least 2 week-day afternoons per week during term-time to ensure you'll be best placed to get hired by a family.

You'll be able to set your availability on your profile once you've passed the applications process and this will help you to filter the jobs available so they match your preferred schedule.
