Once you've accepted a job offer, you'll be asked to complete a couple of training courses before you start working. These are:

Our training courses are designed to prepare you for the job as a Koru Kids nanny in a fun and interactive way, using videos, audio and quizzes.

Here’s what’s covered:

  • How to handle a child who collapses - including primary survey, CPR and the recovery position

  • Choking

  • Shock

  • Head and spinal injuries

  • Burns

  • Bleeds

  • Poisoning

  • Fractures and dislocations

It cover the daily tasks of an after school nanny (e.g. school pickups, cooking with children, helping with homework), meeting a family and their children's basic needs (risk assessment, safeguarding, time keeping and communication), as well as going above and beyond (e.g. growth mindset or feedback).

At the end of the course, you'll receives a booklet which summarises the content and contains even more information about how to be the best possible nanny for the children in your care.

Nurturing Little Ones:

This course is specifically aimed at nannies who will be looking after children under 4, and provides the core knowledge that a nanny will need to care for younger children.

Topics include weaning/feeding, safe sleep, safeguarding, hygiene and development.

Our training is designed to be interactive and enjoyable, ensuring you feel equipped and ready to provide exceptional care to the families you'll be working with. We're excited to have you join our Koru Kids community!
