This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.

You do need some childcare experience with children under the age of 12, but it doesn't have to be professional. It could be babysitting, volunteering or looking after your own children.

Some of our nannies have experience as teaching assistants or tutors or have been nannies or au pairs before, but this is not essential.

You've got to be confident looking after children under 12 on your own and getting around town with them.
