We ask all our applicants for at least two references.

🌳 We need one formal reference (such as a former manager/employer, a former teacher/uni lecturer, or a parent you've done childcare for)

🌳Your other referee can be a personal reference (such as a friend, flatmate, neighbour, or family friend).

At least one of your references needs to have seen you around children. (This means either your formal reference OR social reference can be someone who has seen you with kids).

NB: We cannot accept family members, partners, or the partners of family members as references. We also cannot accept current Koru Kids nannies or applying nannies as references either.

💰Remember that the more childcare experience your referees tell us about, the higher chance you'll earn more once you're working as a nanny. So we encourage you to make sure your references will be as relevant to the role as possible.
