This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.
As long as your visa gives you the right to work in the UK and to do this role, then you are eligible to become a Koru Kids nanny.
Make sure to check how many hours a week your visa allows you to work as it will be your responsibility to ensure you are not exceeding your permitted hours of work.
If you are on a Skilled Worker visa, you can also work for up to 20 hours a week in another job on the shortage occupation list as long as you are still doing the job you are being sponsored for. It is your responsibility to comply with the conditions of your visa and to let us and any future employer know if the circumstances of your sponsorship change.
If you do have a limit on the number of hours your visa allows you to work, this won't impact your eligibility for the role as a Koru Kids nanny.
You'll need to clarify this with the family who employs you and you will need to ensure that you don't accept any role which would require you to breach the terms of your visa.
Remember it is your responsibility to make sure you never go over the hours that your visa allows you to work.
If you have a self-employment visa or other relevant restrictions on your work in the UK, you won't be able to work as a Koru Kids nanny.
