This article has been written for the Koru Kids Nanny Service for nannies who are thinking about applying.
We do not require or provide Ofsted registration for our nannies, and the vast majority of our nannies are not Ofsted registered due to the part-time nature of the role.
Some families are looking for an Ofsted registered nanny so that they can use Tax Free Childcare or other forms of government-subsidised funding to pay for their childcare. If the family who employs you would like you register with Ofsted, we can provide some information around the steps required, but you would be responsible for completing all necessary steps - we cannot support with this.
There are initial and ongoing costs involved in the registration. We would strongly recommend having an in-depth discussion before you begin the process to ensure that you and the family are clear about who will cover all costs related to the registration.
