Once you have applied via our online application form, you should hear from us within one working day about the next steps if you are successful.
If successful, the next step for most applicants is a 5-10 minute interview over the phone to find out more about you and your experience.
After this (or immediately if you did not need an interview) you'll be asked for some background check information. The following takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.
You'll fill out a short form with the contact details of at least two references (more info can be found here) and the details of any previous background checks you’ve had.
You'll also upload some identity documents. We need to see some documents to check you’ve got the right to work in the UK and so we can do a DBS (police) check. We do a DBS for you once you are matched with a family and we will cover the cost.
The next step before meeting families is to create your Koru Kids profile and fill in your availability so we can make sure you match with the familie that suit you best.
Once you've completed all the steps above and we've checked your references, you'll be able to start applying to roles.
You'll be invited to do your First Aid training, general on the job traing and to complete a DBS check once you've been matched with a family. However you can always do the training earlier via the links and some nannies find it helpful to do that training before they talk to families.
