Quick Links

You can log shifts on your timesheet using the handy (and free!) Koru Kids app. You'll be sent the link to download this once you've accepted a job offer from a family, and we have versions available for both Android and iOS users wherever you buy your apps.

If you don't have access to the app for any reason, not to worry! You can still log into your account and access your timesheet within your Koru Kids profile.

FAQs

Do I have to log all my shifts, or only the ones that are different from my contracted hours?

We'll use the shifts you log on your timesheet to invoice the family and then pay you, so please make sure you log ALL your shifts and expenses by the 25th of each month.

What if I started my shift late?

Hey, it happens to the best of us. If you're running late for a shift, the first thing to do is to let the family know as soon as you can! Remember, they're relying on you to collect their children and they need as much time as possible to make alternative arrangements.

When you log your shift, you should make sure you note the time you actually started rather than the time you were scheduled to start. You should also make sure you log leave for the time you missed - e.g. if you were due to start work at 3pm and you arrived at 3.30pm, log your shift from 3.30pm onwards and then add 30mins leave from 3pm - 3.30pm.

If you started your shift later than contracted at the request of the family, you don't need to log any leave - just the times you worked.

What if I finished my shift early?

If the family ask you to finish earlier than usual, it's best to check with them how they want to deal with the difference in hours. They may say it's fine to log your full shift. If not, it's best to log the hours you actually worked. Any un-worked hours should then be covered by your minimum hours agreement.

If you've needed to leave early for any reason - illness or other commitments - then you would need to log the shift for the hours you worked, and then add leave to your timesheet for the hours you were not available.

How do I log a shift that goes past midnight?

This one can be tricky as once you reach 23:59 it's the end of that working day. You'll need to log a second shift for the next day starting from 00:00 until the time you finished in order to get all your hours logged as required.

What if I am working in a nanny share?

For a standard shift where you are working for both families, you'll be able to select both families when you log your hours.

If you have different timings for the families, you'll need to split the shift accordingly when you log it.

E.g:

  • 15:00 - 15:30 Blue family

  • 15:30 - 17:00 Blue & Red family

  • 17:00 - 17:15 Red family
