You may choose to give your nanny cash or a prepaid card to cover pre-agreed expenses during a shift. For example, if you want them to take your child to the cinema, or if you need them to take your child in a taxi.
Always follow these basic principles:
Be 100% clear in advance what you expect them to spend the money on, and what the maximum budget is
At the end of the shift, ask for the change back (or the card provided), along with any receipts
Never give out your personal credit or debit card. Provide a pre-paid debit card, or cash instead.
