All of our Early Educators have a health assessment as part of their vetting. We hope that sick days are a rarity as they know how important the reliability of your childcare is. However, illness happens to the best of us. If your Early Educator can’t work, you can get in touch with us and we will endeavour to get you covered with a nanny to work in your home whilst your Early Educator is unwell.

We can make this possible as Koru Kids has hundreds of nannies across London. We will do our best to find you a nanny willing to work at very short notice.

If you get enough notice, you can review their profiles and interview them over Zoom before booking them. If it’s very last minute, you can opt to trust our judgement to send you someone great.

You can feel comfortable with leaving your child with our nannies, as they are all:

  • Trained by Koru Kids, including paediatric first aid

  • Reference checked

  • Experienced with caring for 0-2-year-olds

  • DBS checked within the last 12 months (enhanced DBS check)

When your childminder is sick, you do not pay your usual home nursery fee.

It is important to note, that a nanny offering 1:1 care in your home does cost more than a day’s care in a home nursery. It will work out to around £20-£30 extra per day (depending on how many hours you have the nanny for) and we’ll add this to your invoice at the end of the month.
