Offering extra support to Early Educators is a big part of what we do at Koru Kids. And we want to make sure that anyone helping you is an expert in their field. That's why we have a dedicated childcare quality team to support any Early Educator throughout their journey with Koru Kids.
Here's when you'll get extra support from us
First, we would love for you to join our Early Educators Facebook Group. This is a fun, interactive community where we post lives, activity ideas, training and lots more. It’s a great place for you to ask questions and get support from Koru Kids, as well as other Early Educators.
During your training, you will have the opportunity to attend an open zoom with our coaches to get support on any areas that you are finding challenging. You will also have the chance to join a WhatsApp group with one of our coaches, that will be able to answer any questions you may have about the training.
When you’ve finished your pre-assessment training, we’ll book in a call with you to help you prepare for your assessment visit. The call takes about 1 hour via zoom so make sure you are able to have quiet, focused time as the coaches will be testing your knowledge. It’s a really important call to help you be completely prepared for your childminder assessment visit. At the end of the call, you will be notified whether you have passed or failed this stage.
You will have 6 monthly reviews with a dedicated coach where they can offer support and guidance.
Once you have welcomed a new family, we reach out within the first week, and again after 4 weeks via SMS to see how things are going.
When you’re ready for your first inspection,—bring on the Good or Outstanding ratings!—we offer support beforehand. But if anything comes up between any of the times we reach out to you, just reach out to us! We are here to help—and happy to.
The Childcare Quality Coaching team is dedicated to Koru Kids childminders and nannies, and not a service available outside of the Koru Kids community.
