How to complete your Home set up

What you need to do:

Go to the ‘Set up your business’ section of your application in the app

  • Read through the set up guide provided

  • Have a look through our recommended shopping list of things to buy for your home

  • After you pass your assessment visit, we’ll email you to book your home set up call. Check your inbox, so you don't miss it.

We recommend spending money on your home set up after you’ve passed your assessment visit.

What is Home set up?

‘Home Set up’ is the interior design guidance provided by Koru Kids. Our home nurseries are tailored to what parents are looking for, and they are designed to provide the best environment for children.

You can take a look at a home nursery near you to see the standard we are aiming for HERE.

What is the home set up call about?

Your home set-up calls takes place on video call for about 30 minutes. We’ll tour your home and have a look at how you’ve set everything up. We will recommend any changes you may need to make in order to turn your home into an amazing home nursery!

What do I have to prepare for the home set up call?

You will need to have purchased any of the items needed for setting up your home nursery. You will need to have set up your home using our set up guide.

Home nursery shopping & set-up

What do I need to buy to set up my Home Nursery?

Within the app there is a recommended shopping list with all items you need to buy for your Home Nursery. If anything is out of stock, you can arrange an alternative - everything on the list is recommended for creating the very best environment for children.

Once everything has arrived, you’ll have your home set up call and we will check that we can book your photographer.

Can I use second-hand items?

Yes, we encourage it! Facebook Marketplace, eBay and other marketplaces are great for second hand items for your home nursery. Just check the items are still in good condition and keep in mind everything you have learnt about home safety, safe sleep and food hygiene before you make a purchase.

Photoshoot

What should I expect for my photoshoot?

Our photoshoot will take shortly after your home set-up call.

The photoshoot lasts for about 40 minutes.

A photographer will attend your home to take photos of you and your home nursery for your profile on the Koru Kids website. The photographer will take photos of the following:

  • You!

  • Hallway/Entry

  • Play area

  • Sleep Space

  • Dining Area

  • Reading Area

  • Garden (if you have one)

  • Weekly Menu (using the Koru Kids template)

  • Messy Play
