[kvCORE & btPRO] TRREB: VOW User Inactivity Session Timeout
[kvCORE & btPRO] TRREB: VOW User Inactivity Session Timeout
Updated this week

As of January 30, 2025, TRREB has introduced a guideline requiring a 60-minute inactivity timeout measure for all TRREB Member Client VOW feeds. The implementation of this feature ensures that IRE remains compliant with TRREB feed requirements.

When a user is in the process of inputting their information on a VOW registration screen, they will be required to re-register to regain access to the VOW feed if they have been inactive for 60 minutes.

How it Works

New Leads registering with TRREB VOW feeds will:

  • be asked to register with VOW if they clicked on the “Sold” toggle.

  • be asked to register with VOW if they log in again with the same account and clicked the “Sold” toggle.

For existing leads, the timer functions as follows:

  • Existing leads who trigger the inactivity timer will be asked to log in again.

    • After filling out the VOW registration modal again, they will NOT be given access to sold listings upon refresh. They will need to use the link sent via email.

  • The Inactivity timer does not trigger if the user is looking at active listings only.

  • Sold listings are locked for leads who are not logged in.
