What is Fine Art Printing?

Fine Art Printing is a high-quality digital printing technique aimed at graphic arts professionals and photographers. It allows the creation of high-quality prints of artworks or photos on various types of paper or even canvas. This process is also sometimes referred to as "giclée printing" or "fine art printing," but it's essentially the same thing.

This process uses professional digital printers (called “plotters”) that contain up to 12 colors and project millions of micro-droplets of ink onto paper through fine nozzles, enabling exceptional precision (up to 2400x1200 DPI!!) and an extended color gamut (reproduction of the Pantone spectrum up to 99.9%!!). The papers and inks used for Fine Art printing meet very high standards, ensuring unparalleled longevity and preservation over time, making it a preferred choice in the art world.

📌 Fun fact : Each micro-droplet emitted by the nozzles of a Fine Art printer contains 4 picoliters of ink. They are so small that it would take no less than 12 billion of these micro-droplets to fill a cup of Italian ristretto coffee!
