If you are a tenant please click here.  Otherwise, the following 'one to one' advice services are available. Note that our service only applies to properties in England and Wales UK.

  • Landlord Law Members' forum - all Landlord Law members can ask Tessa quick questions in the forum - details will be provided after you have joined (membership starts at £25 pm)

  • Telephone advice - our non-member's telephone advice fee is £130 - » see here for more information

  • The Blog Clinic fast track - this is a service managed via the Landlord Law Blog » click here for more information

However, many people find that once they have joined Landlord Law they do not need 'one to one' advice as the extensive online information available to Landlord Law members is sufficient to answer their question.

Please note that requests for advice, whether by email or via the green button messenger service on Landlord Law will be referred to these services, although we may sometimes provide links to other online services provided by us which may be of assistance.

However, we cannot and do not provide a free advice service.

What Landlord Law members say:

"Tessa's service was invaluable for me and I cannot recommend the service highly enough - Tessa was always very responsive and it was reassuring to know I could post a question and get a swift answer." Viv of Solihul, landlord

"A comprehensive landlord advice service providing rapid responses to any queries."  John Hendzel, Bristol, landlord

"I have used Landlord Law for five years and the resources they provide have definitely saved me time and money. Tessa is always very responsive and helpful when I have needed to ask questions. The forum pages are full of interesting experiences from other landlords and can help to clarify my knowledge." Ric Harrison, landlord

I am a lawyer by profession, but no longer practising. I used the Landlord Law service while working in a solicitors' practice in South Wales in 2005 and found the website and wealth of materials very helpful as a starting point (for further research) in advising clients in landlord and tenant disputes. Since then I have used the service to assist landlords in finding suitable tenancy agreements for their tenants. I would highly recommend the website and Tessa Shepperson (the brains behind it) when a suitable and well-drafted tenancy agreement is required to protect both landlord and tenant in the current legal framework. In addition, the site may be used as a helpful and up-to-date resource on other landlord and tenant matters, evictions, deposits schemes and the like." Boris Kindy, lawyer
