How to set up a custom domain for your pages

Publish Landra pages on your own subdomain, like offers.yourbrand.com: add the domain, set 2 DNS records, go live, and choose it when you publish.

Written by Ezra from Landra

You can publish Landra pages on your own subdomain, like offers.yourbrand.com. Your page link then looks like offers.yourbrand.com/your-page instead of a Landra link.

Which plans include custom domains

  • Starter: no custom domains.

  • Pro: 1 custom domain.

  • Pro+: up to 25 custom domains.

On a free trial you can add and verify a domain now. Your pages show on it once your plan is active.

At your limit, Settings shows: "Your plan includes 1 custom domain. Remove one or upgrade to Pro+ (25 custom domain limit) to add another."

Use a subdomain. Custom domains work on a subdomain like offers.yourbrand.com or try.yourbrand.com. You can't use your main domain (yourbrand.com) or www, so your main website stays exactly as it is.

Step 1: Add your subdomain

  1. Open Settings (the Global page settings page, also in your account menu) and scroll to Custom domains.

  2. Type your subdomain, for example offers.yourbrand.com, and click Add domain.

Your domain appears as a card marked Waiting for DNS, with everything you need to finish setup.

Step 2: Add 2 records to your DNS

DNS settings live wherever you manage your domain: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Shopify, Squarespace and so on. Landra tells you where your DNS looks to be managed, for example "Your DNS looks to be managed at GoDaddy", and links to that provider's guide. If it can't tell for sure, it suggests the likely options, like Shopify or Squarespace.

Add these two records there. Each has a Copy button, so you never have to retype them.

  • TXT record. Name _landra.offers, value landra-verify=... (your own code is shown in Settings). This proves you own the domain.

  • CNAME record. Name offers, value cname.vercel-dns.com. This points the subdomain at your Landra pages.

Type only the short name. Most providers, including GoDaddy, Namecheap, Shopify and Squarespace, add your domain to the end of the name for you. If you paste the full name, the record ends up at offers.yourbrand.com.yourbrand.com and won't work. So type offers and _landra.offers, not the full address.

If your provider does ask for the full name, click Provider wants the full name? Show full names and copy those instead.

Want help? The Let AI walk you through it card has a ready-made prompt with your records and your DNS provider filled in. Click Copy prompt and paste it into any AI assistant, or click Open in ChatGPT or Open in Claude. It guides you one step at a time.

Step 3: Check your records and go live

Once both records are saved at your provider, click Check DNS. While the Settings page is open, Landra also checks again every 30 seconds on its own.

DNS changes can take a few minutes, and sometimes up to an hour, to show. If the first check doesn't find your records, give it a little time.

After each check, a message tells you what Landra found and what to fix. A record that needs a fix is marked with a ! in the records table.

Message

What to do

TXT record not found yet

Add the TXT record with the short name shown. New records can take up to an hour to show.

The name was doubled

Your provider added your domain a second time. Change the TXT name to just the short form, like _landra.offers, and check the CNAME is just offers.

TXT record has the wrong name

Landra found it under a different name. Rename it to the name shown.

TXT value doesn't match

Replace the value with the one shown, copied exactly.

TXT found. Now add the CNAME

Add the CNAME record, pointed to cname.vercel-dns.com.

The CNAME name was doubled

Change the CNAME name to just the short form, like offers.

CNAME points somewhere else

Point it to cname.vercel-dns.com. If there's an A record with the same name, delete it.

One more record needed

Add the extra record that now appears in the records table.

Almost there

Your records are right. Nothing to do. They can take up to an hour to reach everyone.

Live

You're done. You can now publish pages to this domain.

Connected somewhere else

This domain is connected to another account. Contact us if it's yours.

When the card says Live, your domain is ready. HTTPS is set up for you automatically. The very first visit can take a minute while that happens.

Publish a page to your domain

Nothing moves to your domain by itself. You choose it page by page when you publish.

  1. In the editor, click Publish and choose Landra or your custom domain.

  2. Under Where, pick Your custom domain. If you have more than one, choose it from the list. A domain that's still being set up shows as greyed out, marked "waiting for DNS".

  3. Tick the review box and click Publish to offers.yourbrand.com.

The Landra or your custom domain publish screen, with Where set to Your custom domain and the button Publish to offers.getpow.co

Your page goes live at offers.yourbrand.com/category/your-page. It also gets a short link, offers.yourbrand.com/code. Copy URL and Open in your pages list use your custom domain too.

The page's getlandra.com/p/ link keeps working as well, so older links don't break.

Moving a page that's already live. Open Publish, choose Landra or your custom domain, click Edit, change Where, then click Update. If you move a page off a domain, Landra tells you where its old link will send people. Each page lives on one domain at a time.

Redirect when there's no page

Each domain has a Redirect when there's no page setting. It's on by default and sends visitors to your brand's main site, like https://yourbrand.com.

It applies when someone opens offers.yourbrand.com on its own, or an address on it with no page published. Your published pages aren't affected. Ad tracking (utm parameters) carries over to the redirect.

To change it, click Edit, enter a new address and click Save. To turn it off, click Turn off and show "page not found" instead. When it's off, the title reads Redirect when there's no page (recommended). Changes can take a minute to show.

Tracking scripts

Each domain also has a Tracking scripts setting, just below Redirect when there's no page. Use it to add your site's pixels and tags once, for the whole domain. They run on every page published there, the same way they run on your own site. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok, Klaviyo and other tools all work.

The Tracking scripts row on a domain card, below the redirect setting, with an Add button
  1. On the domain's card, click Add next to Tracking scripts (or Edit if you've added scripts before).

  2. Paste your code into In the head (added before </head>) or End of the page (added before </body>). Paste it exactly as your tool gives it, including its <script> tags. Each box holds up to 20,000 characters.

  3. Click Save. Changes can take a minute to show.

Once saved, the row tells you where your code goes, for example Added to the head of every page.

  • Only on your custom domain. These scripts don't run on the page's getlandra.com/p/ link, on Shopify, or in exports. For those, use the page's own tracking code. See How to add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other tracking.

  • Don't add a pixel twice. A page's own tracking code still runs on your domain too. If the same pixel is in both places, every visit counts twice.

  • Some content can't be saved. If the code includes content Landra can't host, Landra won't save it and tells you what to remove.

Remove a domain

Click Remove on the domain's card in Settings. Any pages published there move back to their Landra link, and links on the domain stop working within a minute. Update any ads that point to the old address.

What changes on a custom domain

  • There's no Landra footer and no Landra icon.

  • The ADVERTORIAL label and required disclosures still show.

  • For now, pages on a custom domain aren't shown in search engines.

FAQ

Can I use my main domain or www?

No. Use a subdomain, like offers.yourbrand.com. Your main site stays where it is.

How long does setup take?

Adding the records takes a few minutes. DNS can then take a few minutes to an hour to update. Landra keeps checking while Settings is open.

My domain is managed in Shopify. Does that work?

Yes. Add the two records in Shopify's domain DNS settings. Type only the short names, because Shopify adds your domain for you. Landra links to Shopify's guide when it detects Shopify.

Can I set this up on a free trial?

Yes. You can add and verify your domain during your trial. Pages show on it once your plan is active.

Will my old Landra link stop working?

No. The getlandra.com/p/ link keeps working after you move a page to your domain.

Do my tracking pixels work on my custom domain?

Yes. A page's own tracking code runs there. You can also add your site's pixels once for the whole domain under Tracking scripts on the domain's card. Just don't add the same pixel in both places.
