Why do laser safety products have multiple wavelength specifications?
Why do laser safety products have multiple wavelength specifications?
Updated over a week ago

Laser safety products often protect against more than one wavelength range, and sometimes these ranges overlap. For example, our 125 filter is marked with an OD 7+ at 190-385nm and an OD 5+ at 855-1085nm, offering protection at different levels within these ranges.

Additionally, within the 855-1085nm range, the glasses provide an OD 8+ at 980nm and an OD 6+ at 1064nm. Each range or wavelength is marked with the minimum optical density (OD) at that wavelength or over that range.
