Always consult your on-site Laser Safety Officer (LSO) for specific guidance. Required optical density (OD) and laser safety personal protective equipment (PPE) are determined based on worst-case scenarios and require professional judgment. All laser safety equipment provided is intended for diffused beam viewing only.
In most cases, the manufacturer will specify the required optical density for a laser safety window. If not, you can determine the appropriate optical density for your window by considering the wavelength and power of your laser and referring to ANSI standards.
For a 200W fiber laser with a 1064nm wavelength, we recommend one of the following products:
100-435-000: Laser Safety Window
βOptical Density (OD):
OD 5+ @ 190-375 nm
OD 5+ @ 860-1095 nm
OD 6+ @ 1064 nm
OD 5+ @ 10,000-11,000 nm
100-420-000: Laser Safety Window
βOptical Density (OD):
OD 5+ @ 190-375 nm
OD 5+ @ 880-1120 nm
OD 6+ @ 1064 nm
OD 5+ @ 10,000-11,000 nm
