The life insurance amount for your dog should not exceed the amount you paid for the dog. However, it is not possible to buy life insurance with a higher insured value than SEK 50,000. Life insurance will cease from the insurance year in which the dog reaches the age of eight, ten or twelve, depending on the dog's breed. Life insurance can be purchased until the dog reaches the age of four or six, again depending on the breed.

You can buy life insurance for your cat up to the amount you paid for the cat. However, it is not possible to buy life insurance with an insured value higher than SEK 20 000. Life insurance for your cat will cease from the insurance year in which your cat turns thirteen. Life insurance can be purchased until your cat reaches the age of six.
