Great news! You'll soon be welcoming an adorable puppy or kitten into your home. To help this arrival go as smoothly as possible, here's some useful information.
At Lassie, we want our customers to feel secure throughout their pet's life: we can insure your new companion from as early as 8 weeks old!
The preventive budget
Your kitten or puppy's first year is punctuated by essential veterinary procedures, such as vaccination, identification and spaying / neutering.
That's why the preventive budget is included in our plans, with no add-on to select, and reimbursed at 100% with no waiting period. Depending on your plan and whether you have a cat or a dog, it ranges from [75€ to 150€ for a cat, 100€ to 220€ for a dog].
Your companion is covered for:
Vaccinations
Identification (microchip or tattoo)
General preventive health check-up (excluding senior check-up)
Preventive antiparasitic treatments (dewormers, flea and tick treatments)
Preventive spaying and neutering
Dietary supplements and therapeutic food
Preventive dental care and scaling
Nail trimming
Homeopathy, osteopathy, phytotherapy, aromatherapy
Phototherapy, laser therapy
Anal gland expression
Hygiene and cleaning products
⚠️ Please note: your pet must be identified to be eligible for reimbursement. Only your preventive costs can be reimbursed retroactively.
Waiting periods
For puppies and kittens insured before the age of 120 days, you can remove the 30-day waiting period for illnesses by having your veterinarian complete our Lassie health certificate after you subscribe. This certificate must confirm your companion's good health and be sent to us within 10 days of the consultation.
Without this certificate, our standard waiting periods apply:
Use of the preventive budget: 0 days
Accident: 48 hours
Illness: 30 days
Cruciate ligament rupture: 120 days
Surgery following an illness: 120 days
For a puppy or kitten insured before 120 days with Lassie without interruption, cover applies immediately with none of these waiting periods, provided the Lassie health certificate, with no concerns about the pet's health, is sent within 10 days of subscription (the certificate must be completed after subscription).
There is also a special 12-month waiting period for certain illnesses (see section 4.3 of the general terms and conditions).
