1. Upload Your Content
To set up a viewer-facing video, you first need to upload a video to Lumiere. To add new content to your workspace, either:
Drag and drop an accepted file type into your workspace from your files
or
Click the Add New button in the top-right corner of your main workspace.
Select the file you want to upload from your device
Click 'open'

2. Enter Setup Mode
To enter Setup mode:
From your main workspace, click the video you want to set up
Videos that are in Draft status will open in setup mode by default
If your video is in Live or Closed status, navigate to 'Setup' from the menu above the video player to enter setup mode
Use the Reactions, Questions, and Settings tab to customize your Lumiere video
Setup mode is organized into 3 sections: Reactions, Questions, and Video Settings.
3. Add Feedback Modes
Add Persistent Reactions and Prompted Questions to your video that viewers use to react to your content.

Reactions
Under the 'Reactions Tab', you can select from 3 Reaction types: Comments, Emojis, and One Touch. With Reactions, viewers submit their feedback, thoughts, and emotions in real-time by interacting with the video player while they watch your Lumiere Video.
To add a Reaction to your video:
Enter your video's Setup
Open the Reactions tab on the very left side of your screen
Use the dropdown menu in the left side panel to choose your reaction type
Use the additional controls in the left side panel to customize your reaction
Prompted Questions
To add a new question to your video:
Enter your video's setup
Open the Questions tab on the very left side of your screen
Using the video timeline, navigate to the point in your video when you want your new question to be asked
Click Add

on the left side panel next to ‘Questions’ or use the plus sign + shortcut next to the video timestamp on the video player to open the question pickerUsing the pop-up question picker, choose the question type you want to add
Click ‘Insert at x: xx’ in the bottom right corner of the question picker to add the question to your video
Use the video player to update the question prompt, rows, and labels
Use the settings located in the left-side settings panel to further customize your question
4. Turn on Conversations
Conversation is a feature that dives deeper into a viewer's comment or Prompted Question response.
To turn on conversations for Comments:
Enter your video's setup
Open the Reactions tab on the very left side of your screen
In the left side setting panel, Toggle On AI Conversations
A default Conversation Goal will appear below the toggle. Adjust the Conversation Goal to help our AI conduct a follow-up conversation with viewers after they comment

5. Adjust Your Video's Settings
Video settings deal with the video as a whole, how it appears to your viewers (like the video thumbnail), and what controls they have as they watch (scrubbing, speed control, etc.).
To adjust the settings of your video:
Enter your video's setup
Open the ⚙️Settings tab on the very left side of your screen
Use the left-side settings panel to customize the video settings of your Lumiere video
6. Add Scenes
Scenes allow you to divide your video into smaller segments for in-depth analysis. This tool helps you identify which parts of your video connect most with your audience, which scenes have the most impact, and which moments elicit the strongest reactions.

To manually add scenes:
Go to video setup
A scene will automatically be added at the start of the video
Navigate on the video timeline to when you want Scene 1 to end and Scene 2 to begin
Click
+
Plus next to Scenes below the video player to create a new Scene at that point in the videoA new scene will be created using the starting point you selected on the video timeline and will run until the start time of the next scene you create or to the end of the video if no additional scene is created.
To view and add an AI-suggested scene to your list of scenes:
Go to video setup
Under the right side of the video player, toggle on 'Show Suggestions'
Lumiere's suggestions for scene breaks will appear. To accept a suggestion, simply click on the scene card
